Background
With bachelor’s degrees in architecture and architecture engineering, as well as an MBA, Mr. Timothy Graves has extensive industry experience in the design and construction of K-12 education facilities, construction defect investigations for Type V (wood frame) construction and industrial development, and vibration monitoring and analysis.
He has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of the design and construction process on residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. On these projects, he has been directly involved in design development, constructability reviews, value engineering, feasibility reviews, facility assessments, construction administration, and project and construction management.
Mr. Graves has also worked extensively as a forensic investigator evaluating building envelope issues related to water intrusion, fire-rated assemblies, exterior plaster, site accessibility, and all Type V construction scenarios. He is a highly experienced on-site investigator with expertise in forensic investigation and analysis and construction claim analysis to support dispute resolution, mediation, and claims analysis. He has also served as an expert witness on a number of occasions.
Mr. Graves has also been highly active in construction vibration monitoring projects that include pre-construction condition assessments of adjacent structures, seismic monitoring, technical assistance in the selection of alternative construction methods and materials, and construction vibration damage evaluations and assessments.
