Background

Mr. V. Cameron is a Principal Consultant whose collective expertise spans nearly two decades in architectural design, construction management, forensic architecture, delay and damages analysis, construction claims, project administration, risk analysis, project cost controls, Lean practice, claims assessments, project closeout, and quality control/assurance management. Mr. Cameron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Technology and a Master’s degree in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a Registered Architect licensed in Texas, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, and holds the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate. In addition, he is a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C), OSHA 30 – Hour Construction certified (OSHA 30), and a Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC).

Mr. Cameron specializes in forensic architecture, construction claims, and delay and damages analysis across a broad range of project types. His forensic engagements include subcontractor default claims, professional liability and standard-of-care disputes, building code compliance analysis, delay and disruption analysis, and construction cost and damages assessment. He evaluates and compiles documentation to support costs and damages claimed in construction disputes, prepares expert reports and rebuttal reports, and analyzes schedules to establish causation, entitlement, and responsibility for delay.

Mr. Cameron’s industry experience includes leading diverse teams for both an ENR Top 5 construction management firm and award-winning architectural design firms, on a portfolio of projects totaling over $17 billion in combined value, with individual project budgets ranging from hundreds of millions to over $4 billion. His portfolio spans design-build, commercial, heavy civil and infrastructure, industrial and manufacturing, brewery and beverage production facilities, civic and public administration, transportation, federal, high rise, K-12 education, higher education, residential, and cultural and performing arts market sectors.

His beverage facility expertise encompasses large-scale industrial beverage facilities expansions in Mexico, on some of the largest and most technologically advanced food and beverage facilities in the world. This work included brewhouse and hot block facilities, grain-receiving facilities, silos and milling towers, cold block yeast/clean-in-place (CIP) facilities, fermentation vessels, filtration and bright beer tank facilities, packaging and warehouse buildings, logistics buildings, steam generation and boiler plants, natural gas compressor stations, cogeneration plant expansions, rail line expansions, water and wastewater treatment plants, and sitewide fire protection systems. On these projects, Mr. Cameron managed construction-at-risk operations, design-build projects, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), turnkey delivery, architect/engineer and vendor coordination, owner advisory/owner-side representation, and forensic delay analysis for steam generation and office building components.

In his design career, Mr. Cameron worked on office, maintenance and operations facilities, a 1,086,000-square-foot entertainment center and casino, urban streetscape and park development, K-12 education capital improvement programs, and cultural community centers. In construction management and quality management roles, he delivered a 385-acre corporate office campus achieving LEED Gold certification and a higher-education rehabilitation that was the first LEED Silver building on its campus, performing constructability and coordination reviews, procurement and subcontracting strategy, scheduling, cost control, and closeout across multiple project delivery models.
