Background

Mr. Wes Hansen is a licensed professional electrical and mechanical engineer with more than 11 years of progressive experience spanning MEP consulting, electrical design-build construction, and forensic engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and has developed a strong multidisciplinary background in the evaluation, design, construction, and investigation of complex building systems. He is a duly registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines across seven states.

Mr. Hansen’s forensic engineering experience encompasses a broad range of technical investigations involving building systems, electrical and mechanical failures, equipment performance, code compliance, and construction-related issues. He has a proven track record of supporting and leading high-profile forensic engineering projects, applying a methodical, evidence-based approach to identify the origin, cause, and contributing factors associated with complex failures and incidents.

His areas of forensic expertise include lithium-ion battery systems and related incidents, electrical systems and equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, plumbing systems, and building and mechanical/electrical code compliance. His multidisciplinary engineering background enables him to assess individual system failures as well as the interaction between electrical, mechanical, and building systems. Mr. Hansen combines practical design-build experience with forensic investigative expertise to provide technically sound, defensible opinions and clearly communicate complex engineering findings to clients and attorneys.
