Background

Mr. Chad A. Harris graduated from the University of New Mexico, where he earned a Master of Architecture with honors, following a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, graduating Cum Laude. A registered architect in Colorado and Florida with NCARB certification, Mr. Harris has over 16 years of diverse experience in architectural design and construction. His extensive portfolio spans high-end residential homes, multifamily developments, and commercial projects across various environments including ocean, desert, plains, and mountain settings.

Throughout his career, Mr. Harris has worked both independently through his firm, Studio Laconic, and as a key member of larger teams, effectively managing complex architectural projects from their inception to completion. He has extensive experience in designing high-performance building envelopes, including roof systems, wall assemblies, claddings, and window configurations that meet stringent aesthetic and functional standards.

Mr. Harris’ expertise also extends to the technical aspects of architecture, with a strong grasp of construction documentation, extensive experience in Revit and AutoCAD, building code evaluation, ADA and accessibility requirements, and life safety measures. His experience in construction administration and as a project manager has allowed him to work seamlessly with other design consultants, owners, and general contractors, facilitating collaborative and successful project outcomes. His work experience also includes detailed construction observations and recording, product specification and approval, and construction estimates.

In addition to his architectural expertise, Mr. Harris brings four years of real estate experience, where he successfully managed transactions involving residential properties, land, commercial real estate, property management, and investment properties. His work in real estate has honed his skills in navigating complex transactions, contract negotiations, and regulatory disclosures.
