Background

Mr. Burkhardt received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College. He is a licensed professional engineer with a broad background of knowledge in mechanical engineering in commercial and residential construction. As a forensic engineer, he has provided consulting services for various clients in the insurance industry.

His professional background consists of over 10 years of experience in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, project management, construction management, and forensic engineering. Mr. Burkhardt has analyzed and determined the causations of mechanical component failures of consumer products, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems. He has also investigated incidents and accidents related to equipment use and safety.

Mr. Burkhardt’s technical evaluations of equipment failures include a variety of commercial and residential air conditioning systems and associated piping and ductwork, fire suppression systems, building envelope leaks, and refrigeration systems. Mr. Burkhardt possesses the education, experience, and knowledge to handle all facets of standard forensic investigations in the residential and commercial realms.
