Background

Mr. Long Nguyen holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, is a registered professional engineer in the states of Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, and is a licensed mold assessor in the state of Florida.

His experience and industry knowledge cover over 25 years in areas of design, engineering, procurement, engineering management, project and construction management, scheduling, cost estimating and budget control, implementing quality control procedures, contract management, and financing of capital projects in the public sector (FDOT, GOAA, and various municipalities).  Mr. Nguyen’s success with completing public high-profile projects is due to effective coordination and communication between all stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and the general public.

Mr. Nguyen’s areas of expertise include the managing and implementation of the design and layouts of airports, roadways, parking lots, structures and drainage systems, and construction management of new and renovated educational facilities, railroad facilities, municipal facilities, and entertainment (theme park) facilities.  Design and Construction/Project Management experience includes general civil site design, general roadway design, runway and taxiway design, runway and taxiway electrical lighting and signage and layouts, and various facets of vertical construction.  Mr. Nguyen has been responsible for executing many complex EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) assignments within the local market.

Additional experience and expertise include property investigations on residential and commercial/industrial structures including roof, exterior cladding, foundations, water intrusion including mold assessments, and structural damage from storms and construction-related defects. Mr. Nguyen performs slip-resistance index testing (certified English XL Tribometrist), building and/or land development code-compliance assessments (i.e., building codes, ADA standards), and lighting evaluations in relation to personal injury claims.
