The project involved the delivery of a major infrastructure improvement programme, vital to national safety, security, and resilience interests, in one of the most confined and complex brown field nuclear environments in the world .
The works centered around the renewal and upgrade of utility assets such as the on-site provision and distribution of steam, electricity, water supply, compressed air, bulk chemical storage, civil infrastructure, and other facilities including roads, bridges and car parks. Other works included critical technology asset projects related to the provision of site command facilities and security architecture upgrades..
