Background

Jeslyn is a Construction Claims and Dispute consultant and has over 8 years of working experience in the construction dispute field. She has been actively involved in providing assistance to expert witnesses in terms of quantum assessments for matters including loss and expenses, insurance claims, variations, and damages claims. She has experience in oil and gas, high-rise building, infrastructure, and land reclamation works.

Jeslyn has been involved in several major time/cost claims and arbitrations in relation to landmark projects. She has assisted solicitors in litigation matters and was engaged on a major mixed development project where she was responsible for contract administration, Extension of Time (EOT) applications, and other potential contractual and contentious matters. She has managed claims in valuation of progress, variations, materials on site, loss, and expense in adjudications and arbitration proceedings. Jeslyn has played a significant role in an adjudication matter where she successfully defended a claim against a main contractor, relying on a mix of jurisdictional and quantum arguments.

She also advises clients from the construction industry on matters such as delay and quantum claims, EOT matters, variation orders, and others. Jeslyn has provided regular retainer services for various projects to clients. She has assisted counsel in arbitration proceedings in preparing submissions, drafting witness statements, drafting procedural correspondences, preparing cross-examination, drafting closing submissions, and conducting research.
