Background
Dr. Timothy Rhoades holds a B.S.E., M.S.E, and Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Michigan and a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) with expertise in the fields of warnings and instructions design, ergonomics, human factors engineering, and product and occupational safety.
Dr. Rhoades has served as a member of several consensus standards committees and served in a standards management role as a member of the Standards Development Committee of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE, now ASSP). He currently serves the American Society of Safety Professionals as the alternate member on the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z535 Committee on Safety Signs and Colors.
