BACKGROUND:

Mr. Patrick Drury holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in multiple states to include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. He has an extensive background in facilities planning, design, construction management services, and hydrological/hydraulic engineering. Mr. Drury has combined this expertise with construction defect evaluations and structural, building envelope, concrete, and utility system failure analysis.  He is familiar with conducting inspections within secure environments such as Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities.

As a civil engineer, Mr. Drury’s design experience has ranged from expeditionary engineering solutions in austere locations to overseeing large-scale, multi-disciplined design programs for state-of-the-art military campuses and facilities. He has extensive experience in construction administration and contract management and has overseen the design and construction of heavy civil, commercial, industrial, medical, educational, and residential projects within the military/federal enterprise. Mr. Drury’s experience has encompassed projects with nearly every building material and with construction means and methods common to applications both domestic and abroad.

Mr. Drury’s work in the field of forensic engineering includes the inspection and analysis of failures in civil/structural engineering in residential, commercial, civil, industrial, and institutional buildings and structures. Additionally, he has evaluated alleged design and construction defects. He has provided consultation to insurance professionals, design professionals, contractors, attorneys, and property owners. Representative investigations include surface/stormwater evaluations, structural and roof system failures, building settlement and/or collapse, moisture intrusions, wood rot and deterioration, wood-destroying insect damage, building envelope and cladding system deficiencies and failures, construction defects, and building code compliance. Mr. Drury’s project management and field experience have provided him with expertise in engineering along with construction means and methods and standard of care in the construction industry.
