Background
Ms. Brenda Guyader holds a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering emphasis. Over her 20+ year career, she has performed structural analysis, seismic evaluation and structural design, retrofit design of existing structures, and new building design and construction in residential, commercial, educational, and acute healthcare sectors in California.
She also has 3 years of leadership experience as an associate principal and engineering manager of a 10-person office of a top-tier, large seismic engineering firm.
Ms. Guyader provides expert services in matters relating to design, engineering, and construction of buildings that arise at residential, commercial, educational, and hospital facilities. She has worked on a considerable number of projects at California community colleges, private schools, and universities. She has also served as the engineer of record on multiple large replacement hospital projects.
With Rimkus, Ms. Guyader analyzes residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional structures for structural failures and structural damage; prepares damage assessments; and designs remediation and repairs. She also investigates alleged deficiencies in design, documentation, and construction.
