Background
Mr. Dillon Worsham holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. degree in Business Administration. He is a registered professional engineer in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. He has more than 15 years of experience consisting of forensic evaluation of vehicular collisions, mechanical product failures, as well as automotive manufacturing and design including product engineering, quality management, product testing, project leadership, and resource management.
Mr. Worsham developed a comprehensive knowledge of automotive manufacturing and design while holding various positions for a large automotive manufacturer. Mr. Worsham spent nearly 15 years working to understand and prevent manufacturing and design defects. His experience includes root cause analysis for vehicle non-conformities and solutions to various mass production and warranty claims related to passenger vehicles. Mr. Worsham was involved in the development of automotive design for manufacturing and held multiple leadership roles in different areas of the factory. He held the positions of mass production/market quality engineer, new model project engineer, quality manager in the weld shop, manager in exterior product development, and manager in chassis and drivetrain product development.
Mr. Worsham’s experience in automotive manufacturing provides him with a unique and broad understanding of every component of the vehicle. His experience includes knowledge of every stage in the vehicle life cycle from initial design concept to customer use in the market.
Mr. Worsham’s forensic experience includes vehicle accident reconstruction for motorcycles, passenger vehicles, recreational vehicles, commercial tractor/trailers, slow-moving (agricultural) vehicles and construction equipment, and vehicle component failure analysis. Mr. Worsham provides mechanical, product, and material failure origin and cause analysis. Mr. Worsham’s failure analyses include a wide variety of mechanical systems such as mill equipment, residential appliances, and hydraulic lift systems. He has consulted on cases involving plumbing fitting and connections, mechanical equipment and machinery failures, nondestructive examination and testing, product design, and conformance assessment to government, corporate, industry, safety, and international standards.
