Edgar Farias

Background

Before working as an Accident Reconstructionist, Mr. Edgar Farias was an Adjunct Professor in the field of Mathematics. Mr. Farias holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University – Whiting School of Engineering, a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the California State University Los Angeles, and a double Bachelor of Science in the fields of Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of California at Los Angeles in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Farias has conducted research in the fields of thermal fluids and dynamics of rigid bodies and has published in SAE International in the field of Accident Reconstruction. Mr. Farias specializes in accident reconstruction, electronic data recorders for passenger and commercial vehicles, mechanical failure analysis, computer simulations and animations, and vehicle dynamics and loss of control.

Over his career, Mr. Farias has applied his extensive mechanical engineering and advanced mathematical techniques to the reconstruction of vehicular accidents that encompass pedestrian collisions, bicycle and motorcycle collisions, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, boating collisions, and multiple-vehicle and fatality collisions.
