Director
Background
Matthew is a Civil Engineer and Chartered Construction Manager with over 16 years of experience in heavy civils, infrastructure, and building construction works. His initial experience within the industry was gained in specialist marine and offshore construction and then moved on to more mainstream Civil Engineering and Building Projects.
Matthew has substantial practical, commercial and contractual experience gained from delivery of a variety of infrastructure, building, and construction projects in the UK and overseas.
Matthew’s ability to proactively distil a contractual, commercial, or operational claims issue down to a point of resolution and move forward has led him to become increasingly involved in more contractually, commercially, or operationally complex/sensitive contracts. He works collaboratively with clients and has a proactive approach achieving resolution of both Quantum and Delay claims.
Matthew has experience in ICE, ECC, NEC3 and 4, JCT, FIDIC, and Network Rail forms of Contract in addition to project-specific bespoke forms.
