Background

A graduate of North Carolina State University with an M.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering,  Mr. Randall Hillmann is a registered professional engineer with extensive experience in the residential, commercial, military, industrial, and manufacturing building industries. His industry knowledge covers over 25 years in the areas of planning, design, engineering, project and construction management, structural condition assessments, failure analysis and damage repair, scheduling, cost estimating, and budget control.

Mr. Hillmann’s expertise extends to the planning, design, cost estimation, and project/construction management of new projects as well as the renovation of existing residential and commercial buildings and industrial facilities. This U.S. Army veteran has performed design and assessments for military projects for both U.S. and international facilities in peacetime and while deployed in a hostile environment.

His forensic experience includes investigation/evaluation of structural, roofing, facade, and materials systems within facilities to identify problems, determine causes, and recommend solutions. Specifically, he assesses structural damage related to storms, water penetration, settlement/foundation failures, and structural deficiencies. Mr. Hillmann also verifies compliance with building codes and identifies substandard construction methods and/or materials. In addition, he has been responsible for the design of repair procedures and systems, development of specifications and contract documents, and construction administration for rehabilitation projects.

Mr. Hillmann is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute.
