Anthony James, PSP

Background

Mr. Anthony James holds a Master of Science degree in Construction Management and is a certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP).  He has more than 15 years of experience in project controls, including roles as Project Controls Manager and Construction Manager.  Mr. James has provided consulting services on numerous high-profile construction projects valued up to $2.7 billion, involving ENR Top 100 Construction Management firms both domestically and abroad.

Mr. James’ extensive experience as a Project Controls Manager on publicly and privately funded multi-million-dollar construction projects is a testament to his ability to handle complex and high-stakes projects. He has developed detailed Primavera P6 Schedules for EPC construction projects up to $600 million and CIP program schedules over $1 billion. This field experience has made him highly knowledgeable in construction means and methods, as he is able to grasp the scope of work quickly and has a keen sense of uncovering potential delays well in advance so cost-effective mitigation measures can be implemented. As a Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative, he has assisted with contract dispute matters, CPM schedule reviews/approvals including productivity trend analysis, change management functions including managing change order programs, reviewing and negotiating contractor extension of time requests, and solving complex construction claims and disputes amicably.

Mr. James’ experience in construction claims and disputes includes implementing various Forensic Delay Analysis methods, including Contemporaneous Period Schedule Analysis, Half-Step Analysis, and As-Planned vs. As-Built.  Mr. James has utilized disruption and damages analysis methods such as quantifying acceleration and mitigation entitlement and calculating extended general conditions and liquidated damages costs.
