Mr. Frank Ramos holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Florida, New York, New Jersey, and the Dominican Republic. His professional background includes 43 years of experience in the design, inspection, code compliance, construction of buildings, and maintenance and construction of bridges and roadways.
Mr. Ramos has provided to attorneys, developers, and contractors reports on condominium defect mitigation reports on various residential high-rise projects in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. The mitigation of reports will include a thorough structural plan review prior to construction, inspections during construction, and inspections post-construction. The items identified in the reports include post-tension slabs, masonry construction, reinforcements, concrete, geotechnical, soils, balconies, stairs and corridors egress, code compliance, acoustics, sound transmission, EIFS and stucco, water intrusion, mold, and any other building envelope problems.
Mr. Ramos is an experienced civil/structural engineer providing attorneys and insurance companies structural condition assessment reports, roof evaluations, foundation damage evaluation, flood and wind damage as well as wind vs. flood evaluations, construction defects, water intrusion, flooring, windows, and construction accidents evaluation and construction work zone evaluation using the latest MUTCD. Mr. Ramos has performed evaluations of accidents related to a work zone in the New Jersey Turnpike and Horace Harding Expressway in Queens, New York, as well as other roadways in New York and New Jersey areas.
Mr. Ramos is experienced in the utilization of the new Florida Building Code (2020), BOCA and IBC model building codes, the New York City, ASCE for wind loads, and design specifications ACI for concrete, PTI for post-tension concrete structures, AISC for steel structures, AISI for cold-formed steel structures, SJI for steel joists, SDI for steel decks, Tile Roofing Institute (TRI), National Roofing Contractor Association, Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association (FRSA), and NDS for wood structures.
