Background

Mr. Daniel Campbell joined Rimkus (formerly Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC) as an Electrical Engineering Intern in 2017. He joined the electrical group within the design team and has contributed since becoming a full-time employee in September of 2019. Mr. Campbell has been involved in a plethora of engineering projects across commercial, industrial, and residential applications including, but not limited to, tenant fit-outs, and education, restaurant, medical, and manufacturing facilities.

As an Associate Electrical Consultant, Mr. Campbell works closely with architects, owners, building engineers, and contractors on a daily basis. He engages in field verification of existing electrical and fire alarm systems, modeling systems in AutoCAD and REVIT format, running load calculations, and completing designs for new or revised systems to meet the client’s needs. He is responsible for the design of normal power systems, lighting and control systems, emergency and standby generator systems, UPS systems, and fire alarm systems.

Along with design, conducting arc flash studies and fault current studies of existing buildings are a major responsibility.  This includes field verification of the building’s electrical distribution system, modeling the system in an online coordination program, and compiling a report to return to the client. Mr. Campbell also engages in construction administration services and project management services from project design through project completion.
