Background

Andrew is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 24 years of experience in the construction industry.  Andrew has experience working in building, infrastructure, and civil engineering.  He began his career in engineering and topographical surveying before transitioning into quantity surveying and dispute resolution.

Andrew is experienced in the management and resolution of contentious projects, including dispute avoidance and resolution, providing consulting and expert quantum advice, opinion, and reports.  Andrew has experience of being appointed to the dispute resolution board of a large Joint Venture project.  Alongside contentious workstreams, Andrew has significant experience in providing commercial administration on large projects, offering transactional advice on risk mitigation, pricing, and estimation, as well as bespoke or amended terms and conditions.

Andrew has gained experience across several dispute resolution and avoidance methods and has worked alongside legal counsel and Quantum Experts during the adjudication process for both referring and responding parties and has been instructed as the Quantum Expert.  In arbitration, Andrew has worked as an assistant to the Quantum Expert, associated with the evaluation of claims and counterclaims for both the Claimant and the Respondent, as well as the associated drafting.

Andrew has extensive knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract and is also an accredited Project Manager. Andrew is highly experienced in the NEC Suite of Contracts, including Professional Services and Supply Contracts.
