Background

Chris has 32 years of experience in the construction industry. In his formative career, Chris undertook various site management roles within main contracting organisations, including tender and project planning. During his time as a planner, Chris established a track record of producing robust programmes from first principles. He also managed the onsite planning and programming function of various multimillion-pound projects.

In 2006, Chris moved away from main contracting into consultancy to further his career in the field of forensic planning and delay analysis. Since his move into consultancy, Chris has been appointed as delay expert on over 100 occasions and his reports have been used in litigation, arbitration, and adjudication proceedings. Chris has given written and oral evidence in the High Court and other alternative dispute resolution forums.

Chris has also undertaken various non-contentious commissions including project monitoring, programme audit, the development of planning systems, and the delivery of planning-related training.

Chris is an experienced delay expert with a proven ability to assist lawyers and counsel by explaining complex issues in a concise and intelligible manner. Chris has experience of structured negotiation, early neutral evaluation (ENE), adjudication, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.

Chris has experience of planning and programming under different forms of contract including JCT, FIDIC, NEC, ICE, GC Works, IChemE, MF/1, and bespoke forms of contract.
