Mr. James Kirby formed Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC, (C³) in 1989, which was acquired by Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., to provide technical advisory, construction representation, and consulting engineering services to real estate owners, developers, and institutional clients.

Mr. Kirby provides hands-on management to advise and guide the in-house staff, consultants, and clients with solid technical and managerial leadership experience working on large and complex construction projects throughout the world for the past 25 years.

Mr. Kirby has made providing top-tier technical and client service a benchmark of success.  The platform of providing services to meet all the needs of clients under one roof allows clients to call upon Rimkus to satisfy many sides of their real estate or facility needs.  The firm’s core business units consist of providing development advisory services to investment and real estate clients for the purchase, renovation, or ground-up development of various property types ranging from office and industrial parks, high-rise towers, multi-family, hospitality, mixed-use, and institutional projects.  The development advisory and project management experience provide a valuable perspective towards developing or renovating various building types.  The technical support of the firm allows the project managers to not only manage the process but also control the technical decisions.  Within Rimkus’ technical specialty, our experts provides complete engineering analysis and design for building mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems.  The design service group has completed a number of complex engineering assignments throughout North America, Asia, and Europe.  The due diligence and capital services draw on the experience of the engineering group and the project management staff to produce accurate technical reports translated to allow our clients need to make an informed decision.  The code advisory group is very experienced in new and existing buildings and has a nationwide client base.  The building envelope consultants work on due diligence and capital planning, plan review, construction quality control, and forensic analysis. The sustainable design group has completed many LEED projects, performs LEED gap analysis of existing buildings, and provides sustainability consulting for owners and architects.
