Background

Ms. Amanda Moore-Roberson holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering degree with a Structural Concentration. She has over 15 years of experience in structural engineering, including design, project management, and construction and forensic inspections.  She is a licensed professional engineer in Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design and Construction.

Her expertise includes concrete, steel, precast/post-tensioned/pre-stressed concrete, masonry (concrete, clay, and stone), wood, and heavy timber in new construction projects as well as modifications/expansions to existing structures. She has managed projects from preliminary planning/programming phases through design, construction, and project close-out.

Ms. Moore-Roberson’s forensic experience includes engineering evaluations related to the cause and origin of reported damage to structures and properties. Evaluations have included damage from hail, wind, fire, explosions, collapse, water intrusion including floods and storm surge, construction vibrations, differential foundation movement, and earthquakes. These evaluations have included review of specific components and entire structural systems after catastrophic events including tornados, hurricanes, tropical storms, and earthquakes. She has also provided engineering assessments related to alleged construction defects and premises liability evaluations.

Her design/project experience includes structural design of industrial and university/research facility projects as well as numerous residential and commercial forensic structural evaluations, including historic structures.  She has evaluated foundation failures, structural deficiencies, roofing system failures, floor finish failures, above-ground pool failures, and construction defects. This wide range of experience includes industrial facilities, distilleries, water and wastewater treatment plants, bridges, oncology vaults, zoological exhibits, medical research facilities, schools, recreational facilities, and other various buildings.
