
Background
Mr. Brian Olivieri earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states with experience in the structural analysis, design, and investigation of buildings and other structures.
Mr. Olivieri’s structural engineering experience includes the design of new and existing building renovations and repairs of residential and light commercial buildings. He has experience in the analysis of existing structures where the investigation of existing conditions, analysis of existing capacity, and design of repairs and/or alterations are required. He has experience in investigating and analyzing failures, deficiencies, or damage to residential, commercial, and institutional structures, including the evaluation of building movement issues, cracking of building components, storm damage, and moisture issues.
Mr. Olivieri has considerable construction experience that includes new construction, alterations, and damage restoration to residential, commercial, and institutional structures. He has experience in estimating and project management and has served as both appraiser and umpire in formal appraisal proceedings. Mr. Olivieri’s background as both a structural engineer and contractor provides him with a unique understanding of the built environment.
Mr. Olivieri investigates storm-related damage, water damage, fire damage, construction defects and accidents, design defects, building code evaluations, construction claims, the effects of construction on adjacent structures, and construction compliance with applicable building codes and contract documents.
