Background

Mr. Chris Francisco is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree. As a registered architect in Missouri, he has over 19 years of architectural and multi-discipline design, planning, and construction administration and management experience with many project types including tenant finish, multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, civic, and large-scale projects.

Mr. Francisco is highly experienced in all phases of major construction projects, including needs assessments and programming, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction drawings and specifications, material testing, construction observation and inspection, construction best practices, construction administration, project documentation, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, and building code compliance.

Mr. Francisco has worked extensively with geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and system design engineers. That, coupled with his extensive field experience, has allowed him to gain an understanding of the nuts and bolts of construction from the perspective of the owner, consultants, contractors, and end users. He has developed an aptitude for analyzing complex issues, assessing problems from all angles, and determining solutions that work for all stakeholders.

His forensic practical proficiency includes building code analysis; design and construction deficiency assessments; existing conditions analysis; property condition assessments; premises liability matters and evaluations including slip, trips, and falls; design and accessibility analysis; water and moisture intrusion investigations; building envelope failures; foundation and slab movement; weather damage assessments including insurance appraisals; damage scope and repair valuations; and A/E standard of care for commercial and residential properties.
