Background

Ms. Elizabeth Beauregard has a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed additional studies in Building Technology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  She is a Professional Engineer in the states of Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont with experience in structural analysis and design, project management, and secondary education.

As a practicing structural engineer, Ms. Beauregard has experience in new and existing structural building systems including the design and detailing of new structures in timber, masonry, concrete, and steel.  She has additional experience in the transportation sector involving the design and detailing of roadway structures such as bridges, retaining walls, and sound barriers.  While working in the Building Technology department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she had the opportunity to research the design of wood concrete composites as an innovative new building technique.  These experiences fueled her desire to work in the heavy timber industry designing high-end residential timber homes, education facilities, and other unique structures.  Prior to her time at Rimkus, Ms. Beauregard spent several years in the education sector utilizing her engineering background to enlighten the minds of children in secondary education.  She has spent several years teaching the concepts of engineering and design to students in grades 7 through 12 focusing on developing the next generation of engineers.  At Rimkus, Ms. Beauregard performs a broad range of inspections and cause and origin analysis of storm-related damage, water damage, structural fire damage, and general property damage.
