Faye Allen, BSc (Hons), FRICS, PgDipLaw, MAE

Background

Faye is a highly experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over three decades of experience in the construction industry. She supports a variety of construction and engineering clients to avoid, mitigate, and resolve disputes, and is regularly involved in dispute resolution processes both domestically and internationally. Her clients, both contractors and client organisations, benefit from her breadth of experience having worked for various contractors and consultants across a wide range of sectors. Faye is experienced in providing expert evidence and witness testimony in high-value/high-profile disputes and has been cross-examined by leading counsel in the Technology and Construction Court.

Faye’s expert quantum work includes building, shipbuilding, renewables, engineering, and oil and gas disputes nationally and internationally. She is accredited as a practising member of the Academy of Experts and is an RICS Accredited Expert Witness. Faye has been instructed as an expert providing reports on numerous occasions. Additionally, she has provided expert opinion and/or advice, participated in joint expert meetings, and contributed to the production of joint statements. Faye has also been cross-examined in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC) on matters of quantum.

Over the first 20 years of her career, Faye gained significant knowledge of the construction process, working for various contractors as a quantity surveyor and commercial manager, and leading large and varied teams on multimillion-pound projects from inception to completion. She has worked in numerous sectors, including residential (housing, university accommodation, flats/apartments), commercial, large-scale mixed-use developments, education, hotels, healthcare, power plants, shipbuilding, aviation, rail, and sports stadiums. She continues to undertake independent advisory work on live projects.

Faye is experienced in the provision of both written and oral evidence and has presented expert witness evidence on matters of quantum in litigation and adjudication, as well as testified and been cross-examined by Leading Counsel.
