Background

Hamid has undertaken several site- and office-based construction roles assisting contractors and principals during project implementation within the different sectors. He has several years of experience in project management, programming, and delay analysis.

As an engineer, Hamid has been involved in the review, analysis, and preparation of reports for delays and disruptions; preparation and review of programs for active projects; and has also been involved in the preparation of tender programs. His project experience ranges from small-scale residential developments through to high-value infrastructure projects across many sectors and regions, where he worked with both contractors and principals. Working closely with technical and regional directors, he has developed knowledge in areas such as contract and procurement management, project costs, and assessment of claims.

His background and experience extend for more than a decade across numerous areas of buildings, civil, and SMPEI projects as well as managing projects such as civil (mega earthworks and heavy and deep foundations); road construction and maintenance; oil and gas (separation units, manifolds, pipelines, and wellhead facilities); residential and commercial buildings; and industrial workshops and warehouse construction.

Hamid also actively assists the teaching team at the University of Melbourne School of Engineering & IT (Department of Infrastructure Engineering), working as a tutor for core subjects associated with the Master of Engineering (Project & Change Management) course.
