Background

Mick is a Chartered Construction Manager with over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. In the early part of his career, Mick held various site management roles from site engineer to project manager. Mick has also held roles in pre-construction and design management. For the last 17 years, Mick has specialised in planning, project controls, and the analysis of delay in relation to large and complex projects.

Mick has experience as an in-house planning analyst for a major UK contractor and provided delay and planning expertise across the construction and infrastructure businesses.

Mick has also undertaken various non-contentious commissions including project monitoring, programme audit, design, the production of procurement and construction programmes, the development of planning systems, and the provision of strategic advice on the most appropriate approach to delay analysis.

Mick now acts as an expert on delay and planning matters, carries out delay analysis and produces delay reports.

Mick has experience of different forms of contract including JCT, FIDIC, NEC, ICE, PFI, and bespoke forms of contract.
