Nicholas Quinn, BEng (Hons)

Background

Nick has undertaken a number of site-based programming roles assisting contractors and principals during construction. He has experience in, and developed an extensive knowledge of, project management, programming, and claim preparation.

As a planner and programmer, Nick has been involved in both the preparation and review of numerous programs for the purposes of tendering on active projects. His project experience ranges from small-scale developments to high-value landmark projects across many sectors and countries where he has advised both contractors and principals. Working closely with project staff and senior management, he has also advised clients in contract management, project costs, and the preparation and assessment of claims.

Nick is proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nick’s industry experience extends across many areas of building and civil works as well as engineering projects, including rail (pway, sidings, ole, etc.); tunnels; heavy civils; roads (including associated infrastructure); iron ore processing plant; commercial building (apartments, hotels, and aged care facility); pipelines; sports facilities (athletics, hockey, soccer, and rugby facilities); medical facilities; services infrastructure (power station and solar farm); education precincts; and airports.

Nick’s professional experience includes preparation of claims relating to delay and disruption and associated costs; review and analysis of claims relating to delay, disruption, and costs, including the provision of advice and risk assessments; preparation of advice and expert reports relating to delay and disruption and associated costs; preparation and review of tender and contract construction programs for contractors, project managers, and principals; and provision of contract programming services, including program status updates, progress reporting, and identification of risks and opportunities.
