Background

Mr. Lopez is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 12 years of experience in construction and mechanical equipment.

Mr. Lopez has experience in a range of complex projects and operations; from design development to engineering, construction and operation of industrial and commercial facilities.

He specialises in forensic investigation of vehicles, products and mechanical equipment. He investigates accidents resulting from failures in a wide range of mechanical systems, such as vehicles (including engines, transmissions, tires, suspensions, brakes, and air bags), industrial equipment, and heavy machinery including cranes and lifting equipment

He has competencies in construction management, cost and schedule analysis, equipment valuation, estimating, contract disputes, errors and omissions and managing project risks.

Mr. Lopez evaluates damage to commercial and domestic property caused by escapes of water and applies root cause analysis methods to determine the source of the escape.  He provides mechanical design, product design and safety analysis related to personal and commercial equipment.  He inspects equipment damaged by fire and explosions to determine root cause and develops solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has lived and worked in the Middle East, Caribbean, India and North Africa. He has travelled extensively to manufacturer sites in Western Europe and developed links with equipment manufacturers and services providers.
