Background
James is from a planning and project controls background, with a strong understanding of the planning of live projects and strategic portfolios. He is experienced in the defence and preparation of claims on behalf of both contractors and employers, having worked across multiple infrastructure projects including rail, ventilation, and power supply at all stages of the project lifecycle. He has acted as an expert for a large infrastructure dispute, preparing an independent report and attending a mediation hearing.
James has been key in supporting claimants in disputes, including adjudication and litigation, having to deliver both prospective and retrospective delay analysis to demonstrate the cause and effect of critical delay. This has included compiling delay reports, building as-built programmes from contemporaneous data, time slice windows analysis, and assisting in working closely with site teams to maximise entitlement.
James has extensive dispute experience having been involved in adjudications, arbitrations, and litigations across a multitude of projects and sectors.
James has extensive knowledge of NEC and experience of all the major forms of contract.
