Background

Helen has over 30 years of experience in Contract Planning and Programming within the construction industry, originally as a planner, senior planner and planning manager for both developers and contractors. In the last 20 years, Helen has specialised in claim and dispute resolution through preparation and defence as well as in the role of Expert.

Particular strengths include acting as a troubleshooter to manage the completion of challenging projects, whilst setting EOT strategies to not only minimise delays but also to recognise entitlement under the contract, and as a contract planner with the added value of programming with the aim of dispute avoidance, as well as producing and delivering bespoke planning related training courses.

Helen has extensive experience of claims preparation and defence and a proven ability to assist lawyers and counsel by explaining complex issues into a concise readable format. Helen has experience of adjudication, mediation and has been examined by council in adjudication.

Helen has knowledge and understanding of planning and programming under different forms of contract which include, JCT, NEC, and bespoke forms.
