Background

Mr. Samuel Marquez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design and a Master’s degree in Architecture. He is a registered professional architect in Florida, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Puerto Rico and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

His professional experience has focused on architectural design and project management, providing evaluations to determine historic significance, developing rehabilitation and restoration architectural designs, and construction administration. Mr. Marquez has broad experience in all aspects of contract negotiation, planning, design, and construction. He has been involved in projects, including single-family, institutional, hospitality, assembly, urbanism, historic preservation, transportation, and industrial.  These projects have involved clients including, but not limited to, public agencies, private companies, construction companies, engineering firms, and archaeology firms.

Mr. Marquez’s architectural design experience includes concrete (concrete masonry units and reinforced concrete), masonry, wood (light frame and timber), and brick.  In a more traditional architectural role, Mr. Marquez has been involved in the design of multiple high-end residential homes, hospitality-related facilities, educational projects, historic preservation projects, and building enclosures.

Mr. Marquez’s forensic experience includes investigations on residential, historical, commercial, hospital, and high-rise structures, including roof systems, building envelopes, floor coverings, and damage assessments from a variety of reported incidences, including accidents, hurricanes, storms, water intrusion, catastrophes, and construction-related defects. He has provided consultation to insurance professionals, contractors, attorneys, and property owners concerning structural and property damage evaluation, failure causation, construction defects, code compliance, and repairs and remediation for structures.
