Background
Mr. Jared Cacciapaglia has been involved in construction and development for over 15 years with experience in construction project management, project planning, owner’s representation, development risk assessments, construction monitoring, and advisory services, as well as real estate due diligence such as property condition and capital needs assessments. Mr. Cacciapaglia studied Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures and Project Management at The University of Maryland, receiving his B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2008.
Mr. Cacciapaglia began his career as a field engineer with a premier commercial property insurance carrier whose focus on risk analysis and management at a physical level provided a platform for Mr. Cacciapaglia to develop a solid basis of building engineering, and facilities management, as well as design of building systems prioritizing risk prevention. This provided Mr. Cacciapaglia with hands-on experience inspecting properties of many types including commercial office, industrial, retail, healthcare, and life science, as well as institutional and education. This also allowed him a perspective in construction-related risk management and Builders Risk policy management as he was involved in several in-construction projects in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Following intensive training and nearly 2 years of fieldwork, Mr. Cacciapaglia decided to take a position with Commercial Construction Consulting, LLC, which was recently acquired by Rimkus, in 2011; at which time, his experience in new construction and development project management, risk analysis, and real estate due diligence took off. Truly embodying the owner’s mindset with the engineer’s skillset, Mr. Cacciapaglia often leans on his practical sensibilities to communicate technical information with commercial property owners and investors effectively.
