Melissa’s experience spans APAC, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and Europe, encompassing buildings, energy and infrastructure. This has involved valuation of quantum entitlement, claim submissions, variation orders, terminations, prolongation, and acceleration on multi-claim disputes and for major insurance groups.
Melissa has been instructed as a quantum expert on behalf of a main contractor to produce an expert report for the purposes of defending in adjudication and has extensive experience in expert witness support.
She has worked for professional cost consultants providing project quantity surveyor services and fund monitoring services. She has advised clients in the UK on a wide variety of construction sectors for public and private entities. She is experienced in preparing feasibility studies, estimates, procurement, analysing tender returns, project cost control, reporting, and final account management.
Melissa has JCT and FIDIC contracts experience.
Melissa is a Portuguese native speaker and is proficient in Spanish and English. She also has conversational proficiency in Italian and Japanese.
