Background

Sandra is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry working as a quantity surveyor, cost consultant, claims consultant, and quantum expert.

As a quantity surveyor, Sandra has worked for a developer, a contractor, and a cost consultant, performing both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties. This included advising clients on suitable procurement strategies and being involved from initial estimates to negotiating and agreeing final accounts.

As claims consultant and quantum expert, Sandra has been involved in disputes on matters relating to adjudication, DABs, arbitration, and litigation. Sandra’s experience includes disputes concerning power plants, oil and gas, iron ore and mining, infrastructure, high-rise building, hotel, residential, and retail developments as well as various other construction projects. This included identifying potential areas of concern, apportionment and carrying out risk assessments.

Sandra’s approach is to provide a dedicated and customised service on all commissions aimed at narrowing the issues and delivering meaningful analysis.
