Background

Mr. Casey Scott holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer.

He has 15 years of experience in detailed design, complex analysis, test development, and fabrication of critical mechanical systems. Mr. Scott is proficient in a wide range of CAD and FEM solver platforms, with expertise in bringing meaningful solutions to diverse engineering requirements. He has worked in developing products for the defense sector; commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and aerospace industries. Mr. Scott has expertise with various mechanical systems such as aircraft structure, airworthiness, fatigue, durability, and damage tolerance. Other included systems are hydraulics, pneumatics, gearbox/gear design, cooling electronics, mechanical system forensics, and material analysis/forensics. During Mr. Scott’s tenure, he has led multi-disciplinary engineering teams, managed critical/unique contracts, and has a proven track record of owning and solving his clients’ most complex engineering challenges.

From 2017 until 2019, Mr. Scott has worked as CEO and Chief Engineer of Endura Engineering supporting a wide range of mechanical engineering services in support of the heavy equipment, theatrical, and large-form art industries. While offering these services, he provided design/analysis along with hands-on management of project timelines, documentation, supply chain, and quality control while actively engaging in business development efforts.

Mr. Scott currently supports the United States Air Force (USAF) A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) attack aircraft as a principal structural engineer. He provides expert analysis for structural considerations, aircraft repair, failure analysis, finite element analysis, linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM), and multi-point fracture mechanics (MPFM). As an extension of the A-10 support contract, Mr. Scott also provides critical support to the B-52 Stratofortress in developing their structural Integrity program.

Mr. Scott also has over 10 years of experience in forensic engineering in the aerospace industry where he has been pivotal in the investigation of failed mechanical systems and structural failure analysis. He has been involved in post-failure investigation boards and safety/process review boards. Other responsibilities include field investigations of equipment failures, developing innovative repair approaches, and the application of advanced non-destructive inspection techniques (NDI).

Mr. Scott has a diverse background in the automotive industry as an avid mechanic building and restoring classic vehicles. He has experience in full engine tear down, rebuilds, and overhauls. He has worked extensively on suspension, drivetrain, and steering components on many vehicle types. Through education and shop experience, Mr. Scott has developed skills using various types of fabrication processes and machinery including mills, lathes, MIG/TIG/ARC/OAW, metal forming, plasma, etc.

Mr. Scott is an avid cyclist who specializes in trail and downhill mountain bike riding. He has participated in local, regional, and state races as a sponsored enduro athlete for brands like GoPro, SPY, Royal Racing, and 7Protection. Mr. Scott has spent nearly 15 years dissembling, inspecting, and repairing bicycles as part of his cycling passion.
