Rimkus Marine experts specialize in providing engineering and technical consulting services to address a broad spectrum of challenges related to the marine industry and environments.
Accidents and incidents involving marine vessels and facilities occur on a regular basis. Whether it’s a natural catastrophe, such as a hurricane, or a collision between two vessels, investigating these events requires unique expertise. Our team specializes in evaluating vessel sinkings, groundings, fires, equipment failures, injury accidents, and damage to piers and wharves.
Disputes between parties during the design and construction of marine vessels and facilities are a common occurrence. We offer significant experience with the construction of a vast array of marine vessel types, from recreational vessels to yachts to ocean-going cruise ships. Our experts can evaluate the standard of care of marine design professionals and provide consulting services relating to new construction and ship repair disputes.

When a cargo ship carrying chemical monomers collided with another vessel, it caused a fire in one of the cargo holds. The fire was extinguished, but the incident overheated monomers in an adjacent compartment.
After the accident, Rimkus was retained to review the monomer test data. View this case study and other examples of our Marine projects below.
