Background
Mr. Murat Kilic holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, M.S. in Construction Management, and is a certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP). He has more than 25 years of experience in construction, project controls, contract management, risk engineering, and construction claims and disputes. Mr. Kilic has provided consulting services, including Forensic Delay Analysis (FDA), on hundreds of construction claims involving ENR Top 100 Contractors both domestic and abroad.
As a Director, he investigates and analyzes complex construction claims and establishes cause and effect relationships, as well as entitlement and quantum. As an expert in schedule and schedule delay analysis, Mr. Kilic oversees the operations management of all schedule-based services, including Forensic Delay Analysis on multi-million-dollar construction claims nationwide and globally.
He provides valuable consulting services to insurers, contractors, construction managers, and owners about construction advisory, claims avoidance, project controls, and contractor/subcontractor default risk mitigation. Mr. Kilic performs root cause analyses, identifies solutions, and assists in the implementation of solutions as they relate to construction claims, dispute resolution, and risk aversion. In addition, Mr. Kilic offers extensive experience with the Contractor Default, Subcontractor Default, Professional Liability, Builder’s Risk, Delay in Start Up, Business Interruption, Project Suspension, Advance Loss of Profits, and Loss of Production Income related matters.
Mr. Kilic has a significant breadth of experience, having worked as a Team Leader and Sr. Risk Engineering Consultant for a major international insurance carrier, Schedule Analyst for an international project management and claims consultancy firm, and Director for a domestic construction consulting firm. Mr. Kilic is experienced in matters involving FDA and all aspects of the AACEi and other Industry standards for FDA, including assessments utilizing As-Planned vs. As-Built, Contemporaneous Period Analysis, Half-Step Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, Collapsed As-Built Analysis, etc., delay impacts, extended performance, lost productivity, disruptive impacts, extended general conditions, and liquidated damages.
