Background

Mr. Wesley Hamilton holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia, with an emphasis on structural design.  He is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas.

Mr. Hamilton has over 7 years of experience in structural engineering design of commercial, industrial, and residential structures; and structural evaluation of commercial and residential structures for subgrade movement, moisture intrusion, impact damage, and overall stability.  He has additional experience in construction materials and soil testing both in the field and in the lab.

Mr. Hamilton’s areas of expertise include building codes, structural analysis, design and performance analysis for cast-in-place, precast, and tilt-up concrete structures; conventionally framed and pre-engineered steel building systems; masonry structures; cold-formed steel; and wood-framed structures (conventionally framed and heavy timber).  His design experience includes working on many projects ranging from 360,000-square-foot warehouses to small residential properties.

He has performed design work and prepared contract documents including general notes, specifications, and special inspection requirements.  He has also provided construction administrative services such as cost estimates, shop drawing review, prepared addendums to contract documents, answered requests for information from contractors, and reviewed quality control/special inspection reports to evaluate if the design intent was met on site.
